1.7 Update?

First off, here's what I've found. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/350898-beta-17-discoveries-discussion/ Which brings up a few questions like: Can we buy slime balls in pvp since they're turned off?
Will we even have pistons in pvp? How long will the server be down for {estimate}? Also any other questions should be posted here.

Shears strike me as really cool, I'm also looking forward to what our redstone ninjas will do with pistons. Hoping 1.7 will have a lot more than what is listed though, seems rather wimpy.

FINALLY! leaf blocks can be get! i hope the redstone ninjas make a super big opening and closing door in the build sometime that'd be cool.

glad to hear that sgt, I must have missed that comment. so many ideas.. I'm just hoping they react the same way to redstone as in the piston mod, I've already gotten a bunch of projects in single player that im looking to transfer.
