8Bit ALU

Hi, I created a 1-bit ALU on creative. I would like to extend it to 8 bits, then later add on a control unit, registers, and other components to make it a full fledged cpu. Maybe some external memory later...for pong or some other game.

A 1-bit alu adds in binary two bits together. The required cleared space for the 8bit ALU is 800 by 640.

A game inside a game? I would make a noobish comment saying something to the effect of 'GAMECEPTION!!1!' But that would be incorrect.

Awesome Soc. :) I always wanted to see someone make one of these on this server!

Wow, lot's of redstone. So it's a game, computer, or calculator? I'm not skilled in redstone science so I can't tell. :p

The ALU itself is a binary calculator (ALU- Arithmetic logic unit). Right now it's a calculator by itself. When combined with other units it will form a cpu. A unit such as a register, control unit, cache, etc.

Once the computer is completed multiple games could be programmed into it manually, although it would be tedious using switches. So I may consider just one predefined game such as pong.

So am I approved to have a moderator clear 800x640 space for me?
I've seen them built in much smaller spaces! For example, you built a 1-bit ALU - you can build the other 7 on top of it just with some layers. ;)

800x640 is too large a space to be cleared for a single purpose on Creative. We just don't have that much space to give away. Just try to make it as compact as possible.

Okay will do.
