A call to tools - Vortex

Hello everyone!
as you may know, or may not know, me and ComputerfreakDK made The Vortex.
The Vortex is an area of pure floating islands, and a city.
Now here is the problem, a city needs houses, yes? We need some of you builders come and make a house in The Vortex.

the theme is:
Modern/medieval - fantasy

Just tell me if you want to make a house I will then give you the detail. The house doesn't have to be big, but atleast good looking :)

I love this idea. Everyone should do this.

I thought we weren't allowing floating islands/buildings/cities on creative?

I don't know... might have only been something discussed in mod/admin chat.

I love the vortex and have spent most of my creative time there i believe. making the islands is interesting and very fun because it's like shaping an area of your world how you see fit. I also like the idea of combining fantasy with modern times, considering that I really love ancient medieval times in the fantasy retrospect. (dragons, minotars, ext.)

I think this is a wonderful idea and I'm amazed it took the creation of the creative map to bring it about. I've always gone to great effort to build UP and DOWN instead of merely to the sides, on flat surfaces. Frankly the overwhelming majority of what I see created in MC is simple structures on flat ground. When I try to explain to people that they don't have to think in this way, they don't seem to understand. I'm glad there are some who do.

However I want to see more complex things in Vortex. Bigger scale, bigger ideas, more materials. The stuff there is is nice, but it's just a start. Why is all on flat ground? Think up and down, sideways. Islands over islands, islands touching islands, paths leading from islands to islands. Rivers out of the living stone going from island to island and finally to the sea. Tiny park islands with flowers to add color. Quiet, hidden spots. Brooks. More trees. Complex, beautiful, hand-made trees. Why are there normal trees in a setting this fantastical? You can do better.

Whoever made the church with the buttresses needs to do it again at about 6 or 7 times the scale and complexity. There's talent there, and amazing things trying to happen. Let them happen.

there is 2 secret spots already, with water flowing down into the sea, aswell as the old city, wich is in the sea beneath.

This philosophy should be applied to every aspect of the creative build. Not enough amazing structures. You were all given Builder rank for a reason.

I really like what's there; maybe I didn't emphasize that. The mage tower impresses me in particular. I just feel like a great more can be done. Was trying to encourage people.
