A Thought: host on Amazon EC2

Don't know how/if we could do that with such a big playerbase though.

Going from 8GB of ram to 1.7GB doesn't sound like a good upgrade to me... maybe the linux versions use less memory?

Yeah, I just threw it out there. Also, EC2 would have an on going cost...yours, more incremental-one-time purchases.

Either way, the server seems to be running smooth with about 15 folks on it.

Yeah, seems that 15 is about the max for a completely lag-free experience. Hopefully the X4 will bring us back up to 20!
