Alpine - A winter wonderland

Welcome to Alpine, a wintery retreat based on the swedish/swiss alps and their conditions, with a bit of eskimo flavor thrown in for appearence.



When I'm online, could someone create a telepad outside the city? I'll show you where I want it. If it's accepted, I'll create a proper wiki page for it.

Once I figure out how to create/edit wiki pages.

I would like to see the city expand in size before creating a telepad there. As mentioned on the wiki, telepads are designed for major cities that then have smaller transport links to surrounding areas. If the city grows a little then I'll gladly place one there

On second thought, I don't want a telepad anyway. If I recall, they use specific materials, and that'd just be ugly sitting in the middle of this themed town.

Is it possible a warp could be made there, though?

They are not actually ugly - it is an X shape where the corners are double halfsteps (already in your town) and the middle is a block of lapis with a stone pressure plate on top.

Warp points are not allowed in creative - all places should be accessible to anyone, including builders

Alright. I was under the impression that the telepads were the lightstone portals we used at spawns.

Ill update this thread once the city has expanded considerably. Originalyl I had planned to not let people live there, seeing as theres no point to have a house on creative, but I think I will make some plots for people to build things.

So you made a city... that no one can place any stuff in... and the people that DO have rights to put stuff in their can just create items to their will. This isn't just you PD, this is the entire mentality of the creative server. Who wants to look at a bunch of empty homes no one lives in?

My idea is that isntead, I will only have people make houses if they decorate them. Otherwise, they should make something interesting, like a giant candy cane, for example.

Whoever did that - it is not on and you will be getting a warning when creative comes back. That is out-right griefing and abuse of your builder rights.

Oli can we not get a warning if we reset everything back to normal? shouldn't take too long. It was on an ice field that previously had nothing on it.
