Ban for Swearing, can I be refunded?

Hi

I recently was playing mc online, it was a pvp server with no rules(I can find the exact address if needed). After playing for a while I became a little frustrated at another player for killing my Avatar and I swore in capital letters, not aggressively and not at a player directly but it was the "C word".

Now; I understand thats not cool, at all. however I have been on several severs in which the host or other players have used that word and as far as I could tell it was not appreciated but still accepted.

I can no longer log on to play minecraft online, I assume because I used the word C***. I just want a refund for purchasing the Beta minecraft version as I read no where that my online play would be disabled if I swore.

Don't worry, being banned on a single server for anything won't ban you from all the servers. It could just be a problem with minecraft.net.

Also, just wanted to let you know that you should NEVER seek legal advice when it comes to such a small purchase. While you were indeed not actually banned from the game, I just wanted to inform you that the cost of a lawyer and a court case would actually trump what you lost by buying the game.

Also, were you playing on play.minecraftcc.com? This is the forum for that server, and the PvP world is part of it.

Hey,
If you were infact banned from this server, please tell us your ingame name so we can look into it. If you were banned from another server, most servers have an appeal process (if they do not they aren't really worth playing on anyway) so check their website out. As long as you kept your language family friendly and did not loose your temper with members of our community feel free to play on our server.

Indeed legal advice costs but one must be vigilante to make sure we all get a fair deal ; )

Bill - try putting "play.minecraftcc.com" in the IP/Host box when you start the game. There are many many servers you can connect to, and you were just banned from one of them. You should still be able to play on all the other thousands of Minecraft servers available. This has nothing to do with the publishers of Minecraft at all.
