Banned for using a texture pack?

I was using a texture pack where you can only see ores, lava, water and chests. When I tried to log in, it says i was banned for x ray hacking. This is not a hack. Notch implemented texture packs to be enjoyed by all, this isn't some sort of game breaking hack that was not meant to be used. Also in my own thread complaining about a mod abusing there powers, I was banned for being deceitful in a server that encourages griefing? That has conspiracy written all over it, way too make a point guys. Its clear that all of the admins and moderators have each others backs, and there is nothing a simple player can do against the people who run these servers. Also, when i openly said that i was using a texture pack that was designed to find diamonds, an administrator logged the conversation, and didn't even tell me that it was against the rules. Nowhere in the rules does it say that you can't use texture packs. What if i don't like the look of dirt and cobblestone? I only put the texture pack on, to help my friend find his secret hidden base where he hides his 32 diamonds, and other goods. The only reason that he had to hide them so far away, was because other people with probably the same texture pack as me, was coming to our base and finding our hidden chests.

You have a transparent texture pack. That is no different to x-ray hacking. Transparent texture packs/x-ray hacks are not allowed. Normal texture packs are. You are cheating the game by using it to find diamonds. Our server encourages griefing? Where on earth did you get that idea from. Our server is against griefing except in PVP.

Believe this is a 'conspiracy' all you like, I guarantee you are just making yourself an enemy of the community with your so called 'ban appeal'. You have done wrong on our server, yet you fail to even apologise your breaking our rules. Also, do not lie - you didn't put the texture pack on 'just to find his base'. You have been using it extensively to find diamonds and other ores to give yourself an added advantage over other players. Which is not fair and not allowed on our server.

I suggest you make a PROPER ban appeal if you even want to stand a chance of playing on our server again. Oh, and drop the stupid idea that there is a 'conspiracy' going on against regular players. Our large and tight-knit community will back me up that EVERYONES opinion is valued here and we take any complaint or appeal, no matter how small, very seriously.

Okay, i admit that using a diamond finder in the pvp server was wrong, and I have since uninstalled the program. If i ever get to play on the server again, i won't use it, and i won't talk about mods.

After the way you have acted towards our community and the people that volunteer to moderate it, i'm not sure it benefits our server to even consider unbanning you.

I do benefit the community, yesterday i spent hours helping r3sol build his base. This whole x ray thing wouldn't have been a problem if somebody told me that i couldn't use the texture pack. When i was fly modding, jacca politely told me that you can't fly mod, and to uninstall it, which i did. If only salava or anybody else told me that even using a transparent texture pack wasn't allowed, i would have immediately uninstalled it.

Yes sgt can u please unban Marley he was useing it for good to find my secret stash i lost i set my home on accident at ur f home and we went on a hunt he only had it for like 10mins or maybe less he doesnt deserve ban i really like marley!

Yeah Marley was only using it for like 5mins or less i lost my chests at my safety chests so marley got the texture pack to seee thru dirt and rock to find it we used f map then used the texture pack for like 5mins

I was using it for good. I wish i never used it at all if it is any consolation. I know it was wrong, but i just wanted to be useful. The only reason that it was in such an obscure location was that other factions were raiding our base and using x ray to find our hidden chests.

By the way, griefing is allowed in PvP, which is the only server i play on. If you grief a building for five minutes, you should not be banned in PvP

I didn't know it was cheating! I'm sorry for what i did, but i didn't think it was a hack, because mojang implemented a texture pack feature in there game. Can't you understand that a person new to multiplayer minecraft wouldn't know that using a texture pack that removed cobblestone, dirt and gravel would be taboo? I didn't know it was illegal when i was helping my friend, because i even talked about it in the main chat. Why would I if I knew what was up? Y'all are the real cheaters for keeping your mouths shut, and not telling me that it wasn't allowed, and reporting me in the forums at the same time. Please reconsider my ban.

I'm not even looking at this ban appeal after this post. But, I cannot help but point out this logical fallacy. Marley, on a server that advertises itself as legit, no /giveing or item spawning, why would you think using a texture pack to makes stone, gravel, and dirt invisible would be accepted.

I think you need to understand that its very obviously against the rules.

it wasn't his idea, he needed help, so i downloaded the texture pack. there were no orders or anything. why are you two even commenting here? your not adding anything to this appeal
