Globey's Ban Appeal

Hey guys,

I just came home today after a day at a friends house, eager to play online with some friends I have made on the server when it was on the temp map. Unfortunately, it would appear I have been banned. Upon entering the server IP address and attempting to connect, the screen displays, 'Disconnected from server, you are banned from this server!'

Until a few minutes ago I was unaware I was banned. I did not receive any notification, nobody told me anything, and it turns out I have been banned. Can anybody explain why I was banned please?

In my last session, I walked along the east road, and looked around a place called Sky City hoping to join the owners, as the friends I had weren't responding to my chat messages. Note that I only looked around. Although I did look in some chests and hopped into a mine cart, I did not take anything. Unfortunately, due to some lag issues I accidentally mined a block of glass away, and attempted to patch the job as best I could. Later on, the friend I had that was online at the time (Arois) was chatting, so I asked him where he was set up, and joined his colony.
If I was banned for the accidental removal of a glass block, I'm sorry. If I am ever successful in this ban appeal, I would be happy to make amends as best I could.
This is a fun server, and I wish to continue building on it. On the temp map I helped construct Candy Mountain, and was subject to griefing by Adamonline01 (roughly how you spell his name). I have several witnesses who can back up this statement, including Arois.

I am not doing to comment on the ban itself as I know not many details and it is not up to me anyway.
Reading this was a nice change from some of the obnoxious and demanding remarks you get on some ban appeals which seem to have been written by someone so immature, and this has good grammar and spelling which I am a big fan of! :ugeek:

Globey, you've done well. I'm not even going to ask the other mods about this one - I was the one who banned you, and it was for removing one or two blocks of glass from a structure in Sky City. You were truthful, thorough, and clear in your appeal, and the ban wasn't for something huge, only a couple of blocks.

Would-be griefers take note - it doesn't take much to get banned!

I don't quite understand your statement. Even though the mods don't catch every single griefer in the act, any reported acts are thoroughly investigated. Perhaps you could elaborate?

Veer, normally, we have tools to see who broke what blocks. If those tools were available to us on the temp maps, many more griefers would be banned. Unfortunately, they are not, so we need some sort of other PROOF to know that someone did what another person is telling us they did. Like I said before, we can't just ban someone on a whim. We have to have PROOF that they did indeed grief.

dont feed the trolls Froth ver got banned for cursing, but didnt post a ban appeal. he instead decided to go onto several old ban appeal posts and try to spread his bad attitude.
