How to prevent stealing

I was reading that this server is running the Hey0 mod.

On the Hey0 forums, there is a 'Chestprotect' plugin for the Hey0 mod here http://forum.hey0.net/showthread.php?tid=21
:idea: This hypothetically would make people's chests safe from stealing and destruction. I haven't tried it out.

Does it not work for double chests? Also, if you place two chests right after each other after using the /chestprotect 2 command, is only the first chest protected?

So you just type the command, hit enter, and place the chest? How do we know its protected right if it is designed to open for us, how long is the window before you have to enter the command again? Also is it possible for just anyone to destroy a protected chest?

You know because it gives you feedback in the chat log. It'll say something like Chest protection set to private.
Also, other people cannot destroy a private chest. Admins can. I do not know what timeline you have to place the chest, but just do the command right before placing and it should be fine.

When you access a chest, it will tell you the status of it as well.

The double chest might be fixed but I read that it could only be 1 chest while ago so could be fixed now

Ummm i know this is ancient but there are no chest protectors/locks and they would be much appreceated

As far as I know this won't be implimented, simply for the reasons that people no longer try hide their chests when CP is enabled, so if (and more importantely when) an update comes out which breaks chest protect, all those un-hidden chests, and the ones sitting in the middle of the street, etc etc, will be open for stealing, so I believe it won't happen, sorry.

Valk's got it right. I don't want people to rely on a plugin that might break down the road.
