Can the server make a new world for it, where they install mods far from vanilla minecraft, ill name you soem that i know works on multiplayer

No, sorry. We won't be installing mods that require you to have a client side plugin too.

To add on to this, the admins are trying to keep this as vanilla as possible.

Doubtful. We can't call ourselves vanilla anymore. We just want to have the most accessible server.

Yes I agree with this post. But more vanilla than to add more features to the game which haven't been officially released.
