Yeah, it basically took up way too many GB's of data on the hard drive. I tried doing it on the SSD, and it failed miserably after using up 20-something GB's of free space and filled the SSD to the brim.
The only way this would work is if we had limitations on the size of the map. Like, borders at 2500 blocks from 0,0.
I would love to have it on the Build server at least. Wouldn't really be appropriate for PvP. But I just don't see it as being feasible, unless I buy a 500GB SSD. FYI, the PNG images created from this take up WAY more space than the actual map data. So for a 10GB map file, you're probably looking at 100GB of png data, at least.
