I'd like to get unbanned from a server I never got a chance to play on.

Hi, I recently discovered this server and I'd been kind of excited about playing it. That is, until I tried it's IP address and was informed I was banned from it. I was confused. I asked my brother, who used to use my account to play minecraft, if he knew anything about it. He told me he did play on it for a while, up until he got his own account and went on a short-lived griefing spree on MY account. I'd like some help with this as I've been looking for a new server to play on with my pals and this one seems really promising.
