Inheritance series

Hello. I noticed that there aren't many threads about books, no doubt because many people find reading boring. I myself find it more entertaining then minecraft and having just finished the Inheritance series by reading the final book in the quartet, Inheritance, I was wondering if anyone else read them and perhaps wanted to discuss the series.

I don't find it boring, I find it expensive. If I read, I get into it and can go through a full length book in two/three nights, and at $10 for a bargain book, and 20-30 for a new one it adds up really quick. What i really need to do is invest in one of those e book things with a cheap download contract and large selection. (btw city library around me is horrible)

Who was the author, and what genre was that series?

I've read Eragon about 100 times, Eldest close to 200 and I lost count on Brisingr. I really want the new one but can't get it because being a college student on your own with only a part time job doesn't really allow you to buy what you want. The series has just enough fantasy without going crazy (I'm looking at you Dune series)

Also ***********SPOILER****************
How did you feel about the whole Murtag Eragon brother thing? Personally, I didn't like it but I don't know what happens in the new book so I could be wrong. Please no spoilers on the new one

I think it's just an interesting, if unnecessary plot twist... I'd like to see if anything comes of it in the new book though.

Christopher Paolini. He wrote the first book at 19 and has continued it since. Its magic/fanatasy with dragons and races but it doesn't get technical like other book series of that nature do. I read it back in the 6th grade and its easily my favorite series.

Quite a fan of His Dark Materials. Too bad there doesn't seem to be a movie coming for the second and third books in the series. :(

Oh right. Unfortunatly the only way he stops himself from needing to create this "plethora of knowledge" is but leaving many things unexplained. Now that I've read the entire serires and the plot is over I have a strong desire for someone to explain things. It needs an expanded universe that does not tie into the plot but is avalible for people to learn about outside of the books.
