Minecraft.CC - is it needed?

The domain minecraft.cc will expire in September. Do you think it's still needed? Does anyone still use it, or has everyone switched over to using the .com at this point?

It's $20 to renew too... For some reason, the .cc carries twice the premium of the .com!

I type minecraft.cc, but I can adapt and use .com

We just need to make sure it gets changed on all the server lists, etc.

It seems like .com stood for something long ago... not sure what .cc would have stood for (crafters corner maybe?). Even if the dot types really apparently havent kept up with the times (this is something which creates some amazement and maybe is a statement about the internet.. but alas im getting off topic), I would think maybe should at least partially look carefully at the proper usage... (considering you have ppl Donating.. im kinda wondering if its actually a business -> they aren't actually buying ~rights to what they are getting maybe sort of (sloppily - im not a lawyer ). Where im located, if we donated we would have to look at whether we would have to pay use tax under the entertainment section of the tax code maybe (-> might be considered a business here.. - shrug - dunno tho ). While this isn't a complete discussion ( im not a lawyer, internet guru, etc ) i think just basing it on whether ppl use it alot is only one step.. but then hey, you asked...

It says: "Yeah, we have our own domain, and its 100% our name. No .com detritus over here!"
