Nations in PvP world? =D

Hello, ive been thinking about an idea you guys could Maybe take a look at.
What if Nations is been setting into this PvP world, but its still possible to destroy block from other nations, then it would be more Team deathmatch XD Instead gang-banged by gang groups.
Just an idea i wanted to share

Definitely a thought, and we talked about doing something like this a while back with Towny. It just seemed rather complicated, and at the time, the Towny plugin wasn't being updated reliably.

Can you describe more of the rules/scenarios you are envisioning with that sort of setup?

The only plugin good enough particularly is Towny, but it isn't updated regularly.

When new players join there will be recruters from each nation. Each Nation has a name and elected King/Warmaster. Social structure is decided by members of each nation. the Longer you have been with a nation the higher up you are. Each nation has a fortress/base that they protect/others destroy. reasource shared posssibly (decided by members of nation) Nation defeated when base beond repair or members leave etc. Also freelances who hire themselves out if they dont want to belong to a nation. people may leave and join a nation as they please. To stop spys special Admin thing that prevents team killing/ base destroying by members of nations. Members come and go possible incentives to join nation/ punishments for leaving. Nations may ally with other nations. Also rivalries many develop. People or small nations could hire big nations to fight/ build for them or something. Just some thoughts cause i think it would be great! Any other surgestions?

There aren't any plugins that do that, and it would be very time consuming (talking weeks of work) to make something like that.

Whats a plugin and why is it needed? I just thought that you do the same block and non pvp protection thing as spawn and then the members of the nations make their own bases. Why does everthing have to be complicated?!?!?!?

A plugin is like a set command for the server. It creates things like Warping, Spawn Protection, Etc

That could be arranged, it seems like people are already doing this though.

A lot of people are too petty to be able to handle things like joining/leaving nations themselves.

Probably the biggest issue with unofficial nations (i.e. not with a plugin) is trust. If people can join and leave at will, you'll have a lot of espionage, theft, and general chaos. It's too difficult to organize with anyone but the most trusted people you know.

No what i mean is if you admins and mods a have a special command you can say <player name> join/leave <Nation name> or something like that or is that not possible?

That's what a plugin is - something that gives extra functionality to the game. It's a nice idea in theory though

I wish for this
