New Roll Playing Server

MichelxShawn, AlostmoneyG, and Lakenanners have been working on a project. We would like to implicate a roll playing server administrated by us into minecraftcc. This is not a final decision, but we would formally like to ask Sgtspike that based off of the poll results here, can we implicate such a server into the community.

This will be a bit of a fresh start compared to pvp and build but will be very fun.(I can promise you that).

Right now, we are testing mcmmo. That is a plugin where you have skills and special abilities, almost making it into an rpg. We have started to build many mideval and cool looking structures where you can journey or quest. mcmmo allows you a ton of options and we are working on some of the other plugins right now.

I'm not sure if I would want this. I would much prefer a creative server before I saw this impleneted. Though now that I think about it, this could be the fix that people who want to play survival on PVP will want while not negating PVP completely.

what exactly is a "creative server"? is there a difference between a build and a creative server?

and we do have plans to add a survival "world" inside build server. similar to how we had nether on build. or at least thats the last i heard of it, the plans may have changed since then.

A creative server would negate all mining, it would just give you unlimited blocks of what ever you liked (ala minecraft classic)

Yes, a creative server is any server which has instant break on blocks, and is simply for building. It is minecraft at its basic state when it was first released.

RPG would be great! I'm in favour of giving it a try. Something like a week long test would be great but once the idea is refined. Just saying

yeah, the idea of an objective oriented culture in the Minecraft community seems appealing to me but thats just my opinion.

I would LOVE this! Really even notch has said he might add an adventure mode to the game... So why not make one now so we don't have to wait?
