''Pirates!'' forgotten?

Since the launch of the game world 2 magnificent boats have floated in a lake, lonely...

Now, the problem is that I cant blow em up, since the game aint working yet.

so my question is: will it be finished ever?

I understand that there probably is more important stuff to concentrate on, but I just think it's sad that the game is not working ATM.

I agree, while its not as important, its definitely something to be fixed. This game has a lot of potential if we get it working!

To all the people saying it should be removed.. If you check the player list, the majority of times, there are at least 1 or 2 people in Games. At least whenever I'm on at peak times, this is true. The same can be said about build.. so due to low people using it, are you saying build should just be removed too? The map still draws attention and is still visited by our players.. there is no reason to get rid of it due to one part of it being down.

If you look at user stats at its current level, Games is literally holding 0.02% of that. I think games is a great idea. However, in its current mode it needs to be removed and completely redesigned.

For example,
If you ran a video game arcade, wouldn't you want all of your games working? Or at least the coolest ones (Portal, Pirates)

Every single time I am on I can personally testify that at least 1 person asks whether Pirates or "dat Portal gaem" work. I'm tired of people asking about it, I'm tired of me not being able to play it and more most importantly its sucking server resources just having it. Just cut our losses, remove the world temporarily and once you have "time" you can fix it.

Those are the reasons and I'm sure most if not all would agree.

What makes you think it uses any server resources? Just now there were 4 people playing CTF. Way more than build. One of the guys has decided to stay on our server because he was so impressed with the Games world.

What would removing it actually achieve? It isn't causing any lag, it is doing no harm sitting there. It shows off what we can achieve and build, and most of it works. Sure, some of it doesn't work. If you want it fixed, be my guest and write the plugins

Man I wish we had a world that only the best of the best players build. A mythical place people could just spawn whatever they wanted... if only a place like that existed...

Frothing, the server resources an extra map uses are negligible. It doesn't matter when looking at the overall picture of the server and the resources available. Maybe if we only had 1 GB of HDD space and 256MB of ram...

The games world is here to stay, if for no other reason than I like it.

i had hoped for an automatic team assigner thingy, like in CTF but who cares when you can blow up you friends!

I go to Games to play SPLEEF I don't know bout you guys but I get a bunch of people to play and we start wandering around game world and have a lot of fun together and you can't get a large party of people in any other world and have fun like in Games because in Games all of the Games are so different and it dosn't get boring.
