Precautionary Idiocy. I strongly advise you to use it.

Would you consider Precautionary Idiocy? And how do you think it would affect things?

I see that chat going by and people get griefed all the time. Usually, the main concern is that they lost all of their diamonds or iron that was in a chest, and since the moderators can't prove what was in the chest, the inventory cannot be saved. I've been collecting gold for some time now, and I have a modest sum of diamonds saved up. Looking at them recently, I realized that if a griefer found my /home room and tore out that chest then I'd have lost everything. But then I realized, since I kept all my riches in block form anyway, why not place them? That way if someone destroys them all, a nice Mod can quickly check the damage and put them back for me.

Yeah. That aught to stop those griefers.
It does make my main hall look a bit ridiculous, but I never go through there anyway. I'll set up a poll to find out what those of you who see this think.

Or you could just put it in a chest, put that chest in a hidden room, and type out [Private] on a sign next to it. We have chest protection you know. :p You can't 100% percent rely on the lockette plugin but if it's hidden then you don't even have to worry about it.

So...ugly.....

If I did this, I would at least make it a hidden room with a pw so that I don't have to see it, nor do others.

I did make an obsidian-lined room for just this purpose a while back, but I decided to turn that into a creepy room called Ward 2 that locks people in if they go snooping around my house.

You just lost 8/9ths of your glowstone dust... ;)

Not a bad idea though, way to think outside of the .... chest.

If you'll notice, I just statistically lost 1/4 since glowstone drops more dust now, only uses 4 to make a block, and the average yield of a glowstone block is 3 dust. Besides, I got that dust just for those 4 blocks through the portal in my basement.

Ahhhh, didn't realize glowstone drops had changed. That's good to know...

I'm a few thousand away but I made an underground cart track to spawn. It didn't make it all the way, but I'm told Cobblecat spent over an hour making a walkable road to my home.

Micko as Marine said earlier in another thread you don't need to tell someone that they are necroing that's just simply helping the necro, besides that's not a necro because it actually has something to do with the thread.
