RP server when CC reboots.

I wondered weather or not that It would be possible if when the server reboots if an RP server could be created. Just like a Survival PvP kind of deal in which people on that particular server could make different story lines and such. Got to go for now.

Well, whats stopping you from just doing it yourself...or like with your friends? I mean RP isn't really a game mode, and the map is endless so if you just walked for a while you wouldn't have to worry about seeing anyone else.

Though, why you would roleplay in minecraft is beyond me.

Are you asking for another world? I guess, like Frothing, I don't really understand why you couldn't already do this.

Play DnD. Less blocky, more mathematics, and it has the Tarrasque.

If we had an RP world, here's something nobody seems to realize. Chat would flooded, and by flooded I mean nobody would even bother typing there would be so much chat. Roleplayers use dialogue, and that dialogue unfortunately would be seen by everybody. With the current server setup, roleplayers would be hated by other players because they would clog chat to the point that improved chat mod couldn't even keep up.

So no, I think a roleplay world is a horrible idea.

Also our current community is not role-play centered, only a few people would likely be interested. While it does detract from our server, there are servers out there that do just roleplay, and do it well. That being said if you want to RP with a few friends on say our build or survival map feel free to do so, though I would suggest using our mumble server or skype to communicate rather than chat.

I think mumble would be better for them anyways due to how much they need to say, and the fact that its impossible to talk while doing anything in minecraft. I dont see why there couldnt be a RP settlement somewhere on a map they choose, only thing is we (probably) wouldn't be adding any of the typical RP plugins as they would confuse everyone else.

Or better yet Skype, rather than having another room for someone to moderate. Case and point, Amazingratman, a Lord of The Rings Online player who was invited to our mumble server, and later that night banned for excessive language and insulting other players. Apparently he was drunk to the point of forgetfulness, but IMO, if you are in any way communicating with others, you are still responsible for your actions. This situation wouldn't have been a problem if we didn't have the Lord of The Rings players in the first place, but that is not my point nor do I mean to say I want them to stop playing. My point is that a similar situation could occur in a Roleplay room on mumble.

And frankly, I don't want to see people being dumped into mumble and bothering other players. Even if there are separate rooms for specific games, it still happens.

You all make good points. Not sure if I was asking for a new world on the server, didn't state very well. It would just be a fun little thing you know but chat would be way too flooded so I guess its not such a great idea.
