There was an epic race I went to see down at the Douglas County speedway (a 1/4 mile oval)... dubbed a "trailer race". I think about two dozen cars and trucks and other sorts of vehicles entered the race, each towing a trailer of some sort. Well, not so much a race, as it was a game of survival. You had to try to be the only one with more than 3 feet of your trailer left by the time the race was finished.
On top of that, midway through the race, a gigantic motorhome came out to play, courtesy of the racetrack personnel... probably a 30-footer. They would do things like throw bags of flower or rotten tomatoes at the windshields of other drivers. So then, some of the trailer-towing racers ganged up on it, managing to do a pit-manuver to spin it a couple of times (how the heck you do that to a 30 foot vehicle while also towing your own trailer is beyond me). The third time around, they got it sideways on the track, and a couple of them with larger trucks managed to tip it over on its side. They stopped the race just long enough for the guys to jump out of it, then the mayhem continued...
Anyway, that was one of the most joyous evenings of racing I've ever had.
