Today, I tried to log in for the first time in a while, and was greeted by a message:

Disconnected by Server

You are banned! Reason: X-ray Hacking on PvP.. Appeal at minecraftcc.com
I was not banned while playing, nor do I have any mods/texture packs other than my character's skin. I believe I was wrongly banned. Do I have the right to hear the rationale behind my ban?

Who else uses your computer/minecraft name? Your username has, most definitely, been here before.

Nobody else uses my computer, and I haven't let someone else use my Minecraft account since January.

I've been playing on MinecraftCC for a few months, mostly on spheres, and recently have picked up PVP. I was making a base with two friends, but it got raided. After that, I abandoned my base and started looting other players' bases. But only by using common sense. For example, a cobblestone square on surface level means it might be worthwhile to dig and see what's down there. Copious amounts of lava pouring out from the end of a cavern? Natural lava fountains are a single source block, meaning someone probably put them there. Occasionally people will trust you with the coordinates to their base. And sometimes, people are just really poor at hiding their bases, like building them directly off of a cavern network.

In short, I took stuff. I griefed. I looted. All on PVP, and all without hacking. Why am I being accused of cheating? I thought what I was doing was within the spirit of PVP.

Because you happened to zig zag from level 65 right into a dungeon. You managed to dig right into a few bases oh so perfectly. I looked at your "entrance" to the very well hidden bases. They were straight holes right into the bases. I did a minor roll back on you for that area to make the land go back to what it was before you touched it. It was completely impossible for you or anyone else in the game other than the creator of the bases to have known that there were bases below you. Absolutely impossible. And for you to mine directly to these completely undetectable bases, mm. It wasn't an "X-ray hack" you were using, because you didn't do this with ores too. It was a Transparency Texture Pack which only allows you to see things like dungeons and bases. The only things you hit.

Your ban appeal will be reviewed by the Mod Team and we will get back to you once we've reached a decision. It may take 3-5 days so please be patient and be sure to check back on your post every now and then in case we have any questions for you.

I have to say that I know TripleEl personally and have for many years. He is not one to cheat and I can vouch for him on the fact that he does not have any "transparency packs." Like he said, he simply uses common sense. Some people just aren't that good at hiding their bases and perhaps he just had a stroke of good luck. He was playing well within the rules laid out by the admins for PvP and should be allowed back onto the server.

HacAttack3000 rolled back the area and said there were no identifying marks to distinguish in any way that there were bases. So common sense doesn't really factor into it.

The Moderator Team has come to a decision and we've decided that you will not be unbanned. We all believe that you are not being completely honest with us based on the evidence that we have and what you're saying. None of it matches. We do appreciate you stopping by our server and checking it out though and we hope that in the near future you find a server that fits you.

Have a nice day.

he said some people trusted him enough to get in his base. and the dungeans could have been a stroke of good luck.
